Apium graveolens, TSW 0.35 - 0.5 g, 2,000 - 2,800 seeds in 1 g. Celeriac has very fine seeds, sown in February and pre-cultivated in a greenhouse at temperatures of 15-20 °C. Lower temperatures can cause flowering. We grow from pre-cultivated seedlings. Transplant in the middle of May with spacing 40 x 40 cm. Celery requires clay, medium-heavy soils with a high organic content and a good supply of calcium. On lighter soils, we grow leaf celery, celeriac and bulb celery for storage preferably on heavier soils. What is important is watering during planting and in the second half of vegetation when bulb grows. We water less often with larger doses of water.
