(3)Brassica oleracea convar. sabauda, TSW 3-5 g, 200 - 330 seeds in 1 g. Early varieties are successfully grown on medium, permeable and well-fertilized soils under irrigation. Late varieties grow best in cooler locations on medium to heavier soils, permeable soils well supplied with nutrients. Savoy cabbage is very demanding for fertilization and adequate watering. Early varieties are planted with spacing 50 x 40 cm and late varieties 60 x 50-60 cm.
