Eggplant - Solanum melongena has 200-250 seeds in 1 g. It is a thermophilic vegetable that is grown in the open soil only in the warmest regions. For varieties intended for growing in containers, choose warm sunny terraces or balconies. Eggplants are very water-hungry, and lack of water will cause the flowers to drop and the fruit to set. Sowing in the middle of III, germinating at a temperature of around 25 °C. Optimum pre-growing temperatures are 20-28 °C during the day and 16-18 °C at night. If the temperature drops below 18 °C during cultivation, growth slows down and at temperatures of around 10 °C the eggplant stops growing.
