Allium schoenoprasum – chives, TSW 4-5 g, 200 - 250 seeds in 1 g. Sowing from March to August into shallow nests. We can also pre-cultivate seedlings from the sowing of February - April, with planting from April to May by 20 plants into the nest. The growth spacing is 20 x 20, ie 250 nests per 10m², or 30 cm rows. For forcing we use tufts engraved in autumn, which, after a short frost, are transported to the greenhouse. Chives is a crop of the second track and can survive for several years. It requires a warming position and loamy, sandy soil rich in humus.
