Mimulus - Monkey Flower
(4)Phrymaceae, pot plant for sale in spring and early summer, as usual annual plant, sale in IV-VII, sowing 1,500 seeds per 1,000 plants, period II-III, germination 5-7 days at 18-21 °C, latter 16-18 °C, after potting 10-15 °C, very interesting pot plants, suitable for Mothers’ Day.
Maximus F1 series represents the only large-flowered mimulus on the market. Flower 6 cm in diameter, final plant height 25-30 cm, cultivation period 7-9 weeks (pack), 9-12 weeks (flower pot 10-13 cm).
Magic F1 varieties are resistant to low temperatures. They produce very compact, profusely flowering plants. The advantage is the length of the cultivation period only 7-9 weeks when grown in a long day and 8-11 weeks when grown in a pack in 10 cm pots.
Medius F1 group of varieties is an advantageous combination of compact growth and excellent branching, which corresponds to the multiflora type and the large flowers characteristic of grandiflora. Medius F1 are ideal for planting in shady and humid conditions. They grow to a height of 20-25 cm, the diameter of the flowers is 5-5.5 cm. Their resistance to mild frosts makes them an excellent choice for spring and autumn growing.
