Asteraceae, annual, use – for flower pots, mixed containers, flower beds, for sale early spring and autumn, sowing 10–15 °C, lightly cover with vermiculite, germination 5 - 10 days,growing at 10 – 13 °C, minimal 8 °C, permeable substrate, cultivation period 9-10 weeks.

The Bon Bon series is primarily intended for the sale as pot plants or in containers. It grows to 30 cm high. This is one of the best potted marigolds.

Calexis varieties have original double or semi-double flowers of bright colours combined with their robust and compact growth. The twisted petals create a cactus-shaped flower with contrasting dark brown centre. They grow very well in sunny locations, in mass plantings and containers. Plants are richly branched, grow to 30 cm tall; the novel appearance of the 8 cm cactus-shaped flowers is striking at first sight. Recommended pot size for re-growing seedlings is 10-15 cm.
