The Lavina F1 group represents varieties with an overhanging character of growth; however, the mechanism of overhanging is different than in the Velvet F1, Diamond F1 and Fortunia Wave F1 groups. The plants grow upright in the early stage of growth (advantage in growing and selling flower seedlings), later the stems fall over by their own weight and produce an "avalanche" of large flowers. To achieve a nice overhang they require a sunny habitat and abundant nutrition. Young plants should be kept in continuous growth and transplanted to their final habitat in a right time. The great advantage of these varieties is that they flower over the entire surface of the plant. Interesting varieties for so-called flowering trees, i.e. for bunk containers and larger pots.
