Perennials

The range of perennials represents attractive species that are difficult to propagate vegetatively. For each species/variety, you will find information on height in cm, a brief description, flowering interval (Roman numerals), basic information on cultivation under K1 to K4 indication, the intended use or method of use and the number of seeds per 1 g of seed.

K1: Perennials for cold sowing - Sowing XII; maintain temperature 10-15 °C for 2-3 days to allow seeds to swell, then place in a cold, mouse-proof frame. Germination is stimulated at temperatures between 0-6 °C, i.e. above freezing point. It is recommended to use a fridge at a temperature between 0-6 °C. Immediately after germination, bring the young plants into the light and grow them in normal conditions, but not too warm. Later, replant and transplant into loose soil or pots.

K2: Perennials with longer germination time - Sowing in a moderately heated greenhouse II-III. Replant in April in a cold greenhouse or in a hothouse. Transplant to loose soil (VI-VII), or pot up for sale in 7-9 cm pots.

K3: Fast germinating perennials - Sowing in greenhouse or hothouse III-IV. Transplant into pots or beds in V and transplant into open soil in VI-VII. For sale, pot strong plants into 7-9 cm pots.

K4: Lush perennials - sparse sowing in the middle of V. Plant directly into open soil (VII-VIII). If sown too early, perennials in this group may flower later in the year and subsequently overwinter.
