Digitalis purpurea grows up to 90-120 cm, it is planted in large groups and as a solitary plant. The plants are poisonous. It is a fast germinating plant. It germinates in light for 5-10 days at a temperature of 20-22 °C, after germination the temperature can be reduced to 16-20 °C during the day and 10-18 °C at night. Sowing in January and extending the day to 14 hours will produce flowering plants as early as June.
