Celosia
(4)Ice Cream is an early flowering compact series, growing to a height of 30 cm. Well-branched plants will amaze not only in flower pots on the terrace, but also in flower beds of gardens. It creates large and rich inflorescences in intense colors that do not lose their look even during the summer in direct sunlight. The crests of inflorescences resemble flames not only in color but also in shape, which makes the Ice Cream series stand out in mixed containers, and thus significantly enlivens plantings. Sunny areas are ideal. Flowering seedlings sell very well in 10-13 cm pots (the crop time 10 to 13 weeks). When sold in a multipack, the crop time is shorter, about 8-10 weeks.
Annual, in containers and in flower beds or as a pot flower, sold from IV – V, sowing 1500 seeds per 1000 plants, I – IV, germinates for 2-4 days at 25 °C, lightly cover, after germination we can slightly reduce the temperature to 22–25 °C, transplants after 3–4 weeks, 18–20 °C, temperatures below 16 °C cause growth to stop and possibly also chlorosis, pot size 8–10 cm, if necessary, growth regulation by spraying B-Nine 0.3 % is possible, plants at first watering regularly, later slightly reduce watering. To prevent premature flowering, we recommend extending the day to 14 hours or longer.
