The Speedstar series varieties can be grown in several periods. Unlike the traditional groups, Speedstar group bloom in the first year with no need for vernalisation. This universality, along with compact growth and optimum leaf size, makes Speedstar an excellent variety for autumn and spring production. Blossoms are semi-double with distinctive golden-yellow center, 12 cm high plants. Lower cultivation temperatures decrease heating costs. Sowing – July to August for autumn market, September to October for spring market. Cultivation period is 10 to 14 weeks for autumn market and 18 to 20 weeks for spring market. Seeds are supplied in pellet form.
