(4)Mentha spicata has about 10 000 seeds in 1 g. A perennial herb growing to a height of about 60 cm with small purple flowers and a high essential oil content. When grown in beds, it is expansive. Apart from teas and cold drinks, it is often used as a seasoning, especially in lamb dishes, vegetables, sauces and salads, or even for decorating and flavouring desserts.
