Salvia canariensis

(1)

Salvia canariensis is a unique, tall annual plant from the Asteraceae family, suitable for planting in flower beds. Its silver leaves and purple flowers, which bloom in July, are very attractive. Sow at the end of February–March, do not cover, germinates in 3–5 days at 20–22 °C, be careful not to overwater the substrate during germination, then reduce the temperature to 15–20 °C, after 4–5 weeks in seed trays, transplant into 10–12 cm pots and grow at 18–20 °C during the day and 17–18 °C at night. Spraying with B-Nine 0.25% is recommended while still in seed trays to prevent the plants from stretching. The cultivation period for non-flowering seedlings is 9–11 weeks.
