Petunia grandiflora -Avalanche
(18)The Avalanche F1 series represents varieties with a spreading character but the overhang mechanism is different from Velvet F1, Diamond F1 and Fortunia Wave F1. Plants grow upright in the early stages of growth (the advantage of growing and selling seedlings), latter after having grown, does their own weight make them fall and create a true “avalanche” of large flowers in bright and pastel colours. It is important to keep young plants growing continuously and replant them correctly and in time to final location. To reach a good overhang they need sunny area, regular watering and fertilisation during the whole vegetation period. The big advantage of these varieties is that they bloom all over the surface of the plant. Interesting varieties for so-called flowering trees, that is for storey containers and larger boxes.
