Petunia miniflora - Picobella F1
(7)Planting is the same as for other petunias. For young plants we have to keep a length of the day less than 12 hours, otherwise the plants will start to bloom prematurely. Plants are very compact and do not need growth regulation, however, they are more demanding for the cultivation temperatures. After transplanting into flower pot with a diameter of 8 cm, night temperatures should be between 16-18°C. Temperatures below 16°C may cause delayed blooming and wrong development of the root system.
Plants always start to bloom with several flowers at the same time, which greatly increases their attractiveness. The varieties are primarily intended for planting in containers, protected sites; however, the Petit F1 group variety may also be used for flower beds.
The Picobella F1 group is an attractive genetically low and compact petunias growing to only 20-25 cm. Therefore, when growing seedlings, there is no practically necessary to use growth regulators. The varieties are available in 6 colour shades that can be successfully combined with each other as well as with with other annuals in larger containers.
