Matthiola incana
(6)Matthiola is classified in the Brassicaceae family. This low annual plant is planted in flower beds or containers. Sow in December–February, cover with vermiculite, when sowing in December and extending the day to 14 hours from mid-January to the end of February, flowering can be timed for the end of March–beginning of April, enriching the Easter assortment. Germinates in 4–7 days at 18–21 °C, then reduce the temperature to 16–18 °C, transplant into 9–10 cm pots after 4–6 weeks. The optimal temperatures for growing seedlings to flower are 16–21 °C during the day and 10–15 °C at night; cultivation period 10–14 weeks.
